The staff are very friendly and make sure you are comfortable. The wait time in the ER has been cut down drastically as well. I highly recommend West CalCam for anyone in the Calcasieu area.
I thought this was one of the cleanest hospitals I have been in. (Other than the ER section, which always are not the tidiest looking). The staff was without exception very good. I was pleasantly surprised because I remembered this place as an absolute pit from like 20 years ago. I would go back if I had to go to the hospital.
I took my husband to this hospital tonight and I will say that this place is absolutely the worst place you could bring your family members. I heard a woman say that the reason she was there wasnt an emergency and yet she went straight to the back. My husband has three ruptured tendons in his arm and he sat there in agony for over an hour. Two more people who were in no obvious pain or having no obvious symptoms of anything other than drug seeking, went back. Husband was finally called to the back where the "doctor" did nothing and told us that nothing could be done. Even going so far as to say the doctor on call could also do nothing...I'm sure he would love to know he is incapable of helping people. He then walked out never to return. The nurse was an amazing lady and honestly she should work at a better hospital because she cares and I'm sure is the only one who does. So, they give my husband a shot of pain meds and sent him on his way with a diagnosis of a sprained hand. Don't go to this place. You won't get help and they will not give you the correct diagnosis.
Very caring professional night time ER. I needed immediate attention for my wife and received it. I can't say enough nice comments about how I appreciate their services. Thank you.
Terrible service er people were rude and on there phone and laughing ans joking around with eachother not caring about people conditions dont know how this is still a hospital
